If your desire is to "trap" the ball, this will produce a low right to left ball flight. I'm experimenting with the "stack and Tilt" stance and incorporating a low trap stinger. I take an athletic posture, alignment at one o'clock , hands slightly forward, head behind the ball and a steeper ascending blow. I'm having good success on medium to tight lies. Im 6'1" 180lbs. and use + 1/2 inch with 2 * upright. Hope it helps
References :
IMHO

Without seeing your swing, the best advice I can give you is to position your hands ahead of the ball at setup, then make a steeper backswing than say, your driver. Also very important is to keep your head LEVEL with the ground throughout the swing. A little side to side sway is ok, but once you start lifting and dipping your head, you'll have problems chunking and topping the ball.
References :
Stance toward the back foot, and a divot would help the ball flight as well.
References :
Maintain your stance throughout your swing. Keep the flex in your knees. Take practice swings to see where the club would make contact with the ball and place the ball in that spot.
References :
Focus your eyes slightly ahead of the ball. If you leave a divot, the divot spot should be AHEAD of where the ball originally lay. By focusing your attention slightly ahead of the ball, you have a much better chance of making solid contact and making sure you are swing through the ball while accelerating
